Norway 1940 - The Forgotten Fiasco

Norway the spring of 1940, the first battle between Allied and German land-forces breaks out. Allied soldiers fight in a bloody campaign that soon collapse in disaster when British, French, Polish and Norwegian leaders fail to trust each other. In one of the most ill planned operations of WWII, allied soldiers fight in a foreign, cold country without proper equipment, weapons or air support. The campaign ends in a disaster, where the soldiers on the battlefield pay the prize. Today, veterans from all countries involved tell a tale that history seems to have forgotten – and of memories that refuse to let go.

Ekkofilm, norwegian film production company, engaged TheFilm.pl to the polish part of its documentary film. Searching for War War II veterans, convincing them to do the interview, finally filming the documentary with norwegian film crew. Every veteran was different, every told its own story. Traveling around Poland - Kraków, Kielce, Warszawa, Grudziądz, Świecie, first alone, then with the director and cinematographer finished with the success. We established good relations with veterans, found out a lot of curiosities, shot photos at the highest level. And w=everything was going according to a plan! TheFilm.pl can't wait finished documentary. We also hope to have more Norwegian-Polish collaborations!
